Also 6.2.8 would take what seemed like forever to load and quite often I would have to reload my open tabs. Before the upgrade, I had to periodically restart my Mac to clear the RAM as it's 12 GB would slowly fill up and not clear out after quitting Safari several times. Also, Safari 9.0.2 is light years ahead of Safari 6.2.8 as far as performance goes.

Anyway beyond the perception that my Mac seems rejuvenated, I haven't had it lock up coming out of sleep mode or the screen saver. It lasted about half as long as the original drive that was still working when I had it replaced! I only replaced it because it was supposedly part of a defective batch of Seagate hard drives that Apple was replacing for free. This, ironically, replaced a failing replacement Seagate drive for a supposed faulty Seagate drive. However, I did just have a 2 TB Seagate hybrid drive installed. When I finally upgraded to Mavericks when El Capitan was released, I felt that my Mac seemed snappier. I am starting to rethink my position on staying 2 OS iterations back.
